George Kaparos, Co-Director, Clamms Seafood.
How long have you been in the seafood industry?
I’ve been in the seafood business for 50 years. I started selling door to door with my Uncle. We then progressed to selling on station pier and the wharfs. I then sold fish in Melbourne’s markets - South Melbourne, Prahran, and Queen Victoria before opening Clamms Seafood in 1989.
What’s your favourite seafood?
I look forward to the summer months when you can get local calamari, prawns and a beautiful local fillet of John Dory out of Lakes Entrance.
